This song imagines its female narrator caught in the crossfire of war. She seeks assurance from unknown listeners while grappling with heartbreak and loss. The chorus employs reverb and delay to echo the narrator’s disembodied voice travelling through a broken telephone line; whilst the instrumentation is deliberately sparse.

Track 2: Clock Ticking
This song was recorded in my home studio. The song's lyrics describe the fallout and impact of a major economic collapse on its female narrator. The song is deliberately ironic, with saxophones jostling for primacy during its choruses. The song modulates briefly to a relative Major key before an instrumental that descends back into minor mode, ending on the word ‘happy’.

Track 3: Home Once Again
A deeply personal song that reflects on the longing for a home since lost. The lyrics speak to the challenge of persisting in the face of such loss; and the nostalgic yearning to return to how things once were. The song mixes traditional ballad with rap, and builds to a climax replete with vocal and violin.
