Track 1 Hymn/Him was produced in my home studio using overdubbing and mixed in-the-box. It imagines its female narrator teetering on the edge of sanity, having experienced resounding loss. The lyrics use homophones to add to the feeling of blurred reality: Die/Dye; Hymn/Him; Scene/Seen. The rhythm is in 3/4 time, imparting a Waltz-like feel to a song of yearning, loss and regret.
